Job Description Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
Approves in process and finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
Proficient knowledge of inspection techniques including verification of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing against engineering drawings Developing corrective actions, solutions and improvements Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing and making recommendations Requirements 5
years' experience in Quality Inspector position, electro-mechanical experience a PLUS Working knowledge and understanding of basic principles, theories, concepts, and practices in the applicable area of engineering/technical specialization.
IPC-620 Certified and/or ASQ certification a PLUS Qualifications and Skills Ability to manage priorities and workflow ERP/MRP Experience Required Experience MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) Strategic Thinking, Judgment and Motivation Reviews and thoroughly understands product functional design specifications Follows and implements the methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
Reviews returned assemblies and verifies customer complaints; communicates with customers as required.
Utilizes 8D and 5 Why processes for problem solving method for product and process Participates and supports internal as well as customer audits/visits Surveying the respect of the process for handing non-conforming products Accompanies FAI (first article inspection) audits and checking First samples inspection reports (EMPBs) along with FMEA process and Control Plan Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
