Responsibilities:
Responsible for building a well-trained team which is passionate about safety, quality, efficiency and company success o Properly welcome, on -board, train, motivate and retain team members to ensure full staffing levels and promotional opportunities.
o Develop, train, and motivate high potential staff in skilled positions to produce consistency with each line.
o Conduct regular performance reviews and performance discussions to include praising great performance and effectively documenting performance issues and progressive discipline.
o Effectively manage staff from multiple departments:
Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance o Ensure entire staff is complying with safety requirements.
o Complete incident report when accident happens, notify appropriate management, and seek medical attention as needed.
Determine and communicate root causes.
Meet or exceed company expectations for production performance to maximize sales o Ensure effective and consistent operation of all production lines o Complete shift report and all related documentation at the end of every shift o Determine root cause of issues and develop corrective actions to eliminate down time o Ensure all corrective actions are fully implemented o Communicate production expectations, measure, communicate and manage gaps o Ensure adherence to production schedule.
Communicate with management and inventory control personnel when schedule must be modified.
o Prepare for change-overs as required to ensure smooth, efficient, effective, and complete change-over in the quickest possible time and eliminate errors / potential for re-work Properly utilize labor resources to improve efficiency, minimize labor expense and reduce waste o Ensure effective communication between all staff and management o Review all paperwork throughout shift to ensure accuracy and completeness o Review and approve all time at the end of shift on daily basis and address performance concerns, missed punches, in early, short lunch, no lunch, etc.
Goal is ZERO overtime! o Review all entries in Plex and ensure notes are entered as required o Ensure attendance of personnel is completed and forward attendance information to appropriate personnel.
o Ensure only the appropriate number of Team Members are assigned to lines and no excess labor is allowed.
o Recommend employee changes (pay, job title, etc.
) and terminations in system; including ensuring proper staffing levels o Develop, train, and maintain leaders and staff in advanced positions to produce consistency with each line and shift o Coordinate with maintenance to determine length of downtime and send home temps/employees as needed Provide outstanding customer service to our partners o Initiate investigation and action as needed to report food safety and food quality issues o Coordinate with QA to ensure excellent quality is being maintained o Ensure customer specifications are being met through testing and immediate reaction o Monitor and ensure that all GMP's, SOP's, and HACCP are met at all times o Ensure Production Floor is SQF ready EVERYDAY Other Responsibilities and Skills Needed:

Bachelor's Degree or comparable work experience Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Must be willing to work weekends when needed Computer skills - ability to learn specific software programs (Plex) to access paperwork, program equipment for running specific products, produce labels, etc.
Moderate mechanical aptitude is needed This position will ensure that all staff are informed of their food safety and regulatory responsibilities, are aware of their role in meeting the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing, and are informed of their responsibility to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Physical and Safety Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and all other food safety requirements Complies with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE's) requirements Reports any food safety problems or potentially unsafe practices/conditions to lead or supervisor Constant walking and standing on hard concrete service Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, lifting and climbing Position will require working in very hot and cold conditions Other conditions include flour dust, wet floors, occasional smoke and fumes if product burns Job Type:
