Responsibilities:
Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, product and production specifications, manufacturing capabilities, or project status.
Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using drafting tools and computer.
Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
Estimate production cost and effect of product design changes for management review, action, and control.
What you need for this position:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
3
years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
Proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Familiarity with different welding techniques such as GTAW, PAW, RW, and Ultrasonic.
Knowledge of capital equipment project management.
Proficiency in automation and lean tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a knack for innovation and process improvement.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex problems.
